I have spent the last couple of years working on my own children’s book whenever I have any spare minutes (rare). The idea first came when I was at a family dinner at my parents’ house and my brother was sharing with us all the the unique and unusual names for groups of animals. For example, in addition to the usual herds, flocks, and pods, there are embarrassments, snuggles, thunders, and so many more fun and unusual collective nouns for animal families. So I decided to turn it into a children’s book, that hopefully will be ready for publishing this fall.
